Assumptions:
- There is no power at all to either hard drive.
- Since both drives are affected the most likely problem is the computer or internal MVHD cable harness.
Do the following:
Do these steps in order. Stop when you locate the problem. If the problem is the USB cable, internal harness or hard drive contact Customer Service for assistance.
- Disconnect both hard drives from the MVHD internal cables.
- Connect both hard drives directly to the external USB cables. If this drive lights are lit and the drives are found by the computer (takes a few seconds), the problem is definitely the MVHD internal cable harness.
- Try connecting the external USB cables to a different computer. If the drives work now the problem is in the first computer.
- If neither drive is found, even connected directly to another computer, contact Customer Service for assistance. It is highly unlikely both hard drives or both USB cables could be bad.
